It appears Gil was killed serving his country overseas in 2005 unbeknown to his SAE family here in the states. We will be holding a SAE memorial service for our Chapter Eternal brother on Sunday the 8th at 5 PM.

Location: CSUN Ventura Room in the MIC aka Matador Involvement Center (a new building across from the Pub). The Ventura Room is in the 2nd floor of the MIC above the Freudian Sip.

Time: 5 pm will be the start of our ritual.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Phi Alpha,

dq

Gil C. Williamson

———-
Below are the details as we know them:

STUTTGART-VAIHINGEN, Germany — Special Operations Command Europe announced the deaths of nine Airmen killed in an MC-130H Combat Talon II aircraft crash in Albania March 31, 2005.

The C-130 transport plane crashed in the mountains of southern Albania on March 31st during a joint night exercise. Among the dead was Army Captain Gil C. Williamson of Dike, Texas, near Sulphur Springs. President Alfred Moisiu awarded the nine the Medal of Gratitude posthumously. He cited soldiers’ “sublime act of giving their lives to the service of the military cooperation between Albania and the United States.”

Fall Rush Dates - Alumni Needed

Posted at September 10, 2008 by quispe67

Brothers,

Night one of RUSH is set.  Cal Nu needs a successful RUSH in order to petition for chartering this year.  You might think you are too old or out of touch to help…  Trust me, you could not be more WRONG!

I know each of us want to see SAE letters back on campus and our pledge class paddles hung proudly on a wall in the chapter house.  This our time to shine as alumni.

  • Wednesday September 17th
  • Starts 6 PM
  • Location: University Student Union
  • Reseda Room
  • Rush Calendar (click here)

We will be hosting RUSH through out the week but night one is the biggest. If you can’t make it then please find someone who can.

Can you give one hour to SAE this year? The guys need your help.
